411 for Hospitals
We are so happy you have come to our website and we can't wait to team up with you!
Our mission is to bring smiles and laughter to children around the U.S. fighting cancer, a chronic illness or life altering injury.
The Smile Project is still a new venture for us, but the yearning to fill this need for these brave and amazing children is not new at all. All three of us that started this venture are all moms. More importantly we are moms that have had to see our kids sick, in the hospital, asking "why my child?" and praying that God would ease their pain.
We started The Smile Project in April of 2014 with a goal of changing lives, one smile at a time. In order to do this, we need your help. Right now our biggest project we are working on is our Smile Boxes and our Birthday Boxes. The Smile Boxes are the 10x10 themed boxes that we have listed on our website. The reason we theme them is because we are unable to personalize each and every box for each individual child (although...we want to!). By allowing boxes to be themed, every child can choose their favorite box and from there based on the age, the child's story and other added details, we can throw a little extra in the boxes before we send them on their way. Our Birthday Boxes are also 10x10 boxes but they work a little different. On our website we have a place for family and friends to add a child to our birthday registry. Once they add that child and everything is finalized, we will send out a Birthday Box to that child on their next birthday to help them celebrate!
We do not only provide to children in the hospital, we also want to reach out to children that do not necessarily have to be in the hospital around the clock. We want to work with doctors offices, therapy centers, etc to be able to make each and every child happy.
We are working on some other projects that we are looking to launch in the future as well. We are working on offering Caregiver Boxes that will be donated to hospitals that can be passed out to family members. We are also working on Angel Boxes for family members that have a child pass away and also holding 5K events to raise money for hospitals as well as several other charity events.
We want The Smile Project to become something so great for these families that go through so much. Even if it takes the sickness off their mind for 10 minutes, it's worth every bit of sweat and tears put into this. On behalf of the other two founders and myself, thank you for considering allowing The Smile Project into your hospital. We look forward to working with you.
